A CARE home previously criticised for failing has had a major turnaround.
Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission found Godden Lodge Residential and Nursing Home, in Hart Road, Benfleet, met six of the seven standards required.
The glowing report comes after inspectors in 2013 found the Bupa-run home only met one of the four criterias required.
In its most recent inspection, the care home was praised for cooperating with other providers, cleanliness and infection control, managing medicines, staffing, assessing and monitoring quality of service and the care and welfare of people who use the services.
Action is needed in one area – consent to care and treatment, after inspectors found inconsistencies with forms.
A spokesman for the home said: “We’re pleased the Care Quality Commission have recognised improvements in the home.
“We are committed to providing high-quality care and a warm and friendly environment, so it’s rewarding to hear such positive comments from the home’s residents and their families.”
