A WELL-LOVED children's bookshop will close down next month.

Jacqson Diego Story Emporium in Hamlet Court Road in Westcliff is shutting down following three years of trading.

The shop will close on May 21 but bookshop bosses say they hope to continue the Emporium’s work.

In a Facebook post, owner Jacqui Johnson said: “As you may have heard, due to unforeseen circumstances the emporium will be closing at its current address.

“Jacqson Diego Story Emporium will continue in all its other forms, including pop ups and events throughout the summer, and we hope to find a new permanent home in the not too distant future.

“Over the last three years the emporium has exceeded all my hope sin providing a space for children to explore and grow their world through a love of books and creative engagement on their own terms. This will continue where ever we are.

“A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us, and we hope to see you over the next few weeks.”
