A DEAD body has been found at a house in Westcliff.
The body of a woman in her twenties was found at an address in Gainsborough Drive, Westcliff, after police were called to the road on Monday (April 27) evening.
A woman in her fifties was taken to Southend Hospital before being sectioned and police officers searching her house, found the body.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “Police attended Gainsborough Drive, in Westcliff, just before 7pm on Monday (April 27) following reports from a member of the public that a woman was in a distressed state in the street and was covered in blood.
“She was in a mobility scooter.
“Officers assisted the ambulance staff in taking her to hospital where the woman, aged in her fifties, was sectioned under the mental health act.
“Officers also attended her home address and discovered the body of a woman in her twenties.
“There are no suspicious circumstances."
