THE launch of all-night weekend London Underground services has been delayed due to an ongoing dispute with trade unions.

Night tube services had been due to launch on September 12, but will now not begin until later in the autumn.

Unions cancelled two planned 24 hours strikes this week, but are still seeking changes to staff rotas when the new timetable starts.

London Underground managing director Nick Brown said: “We believe we are not far from an agreement that protects the work-life balance of our employees and is affordable, sustainable and fair.

"As such, we have decided to defer the introduction of night tube to allow more time for those talks to conclude.”
