A WOMAN who suffered serious head injuries during a fall at a hospital died as a result of an accident, an inquest ruled.
Annie Wilmot, 82, suffered from mental health difficulties and lived at Rochford Hospital.
On July 21 she was walking, with the aid of a zimmer frame and staff, after spilling yoghurt on her top during lunch.
She fell and hit her head before being rushed to Southend Hospital.
She died as a result of head injuries the following day.
A jury heard the inquest at Essex Coroner's Court on Friday ***nov 27***.
Essex Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray directed they find she died as a result of an accident, which they did.
