A man has been re-arrested on suspicion of murdering the woman whose body was washed up on Foulness Island last summer.

The 67-year-old Eastwood man was arrested today and is currently in custody being questioned on suspicion of murder.
He was originally arrested on Monday, April 20 and has been on bail pending further enquiries.

The body of Angela Millington was found washed up on Foulness Island on Saturday, June 21, last year.

It was not known how the 33-year-old from Southend died, or even how long she had been there.

Bones were discovered on a salt marsh by a group of ramblers as they walked on the island. More skeletal remains came to light during a search of the island.

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are continuing with their enquiries and would ask anyone with any information about what may have happened to Angela to contact them on Essex Police 101 or scdappeals@essex.ppn.police.uk
