A POPULAR Southend High Street shopping centre has launched its inaugural eco-themed kids club event.
The Southend Council-owned Victoria Shopping Centre teamed up with its charity of the year, Trust Links, as they rolled out an array of eco-conscious activities including seed planting, Easter Bonet crafting, and nature sketching.
Dennis Baldry, centre manager, said: "The centre was buzzing, I haven't seen an event that attracted so many families.
"We are looking forward to a lot more free events this year, well done to everyone involved.'
The free event, hosted by the newly established events team at the shopping centre at the top of Southend High Street, was labelled a "huge success" by retailers, staff, and participants alike.
More than 100 children immersed themselves in the eco-warrior-themed day, reportedly one of the best free occasions the centre has hosted.
Trust Links champions mental health and wellbeing through eco-centric initiatives across south Essex.
