DRIVERS are warned to expect delays as a road shuts for 25 days among five more upcoming roadworks across south Essex.

Bridge Road, in Shotgate, will be closing from its junction with Southend Road on May 10 while Cadent carries out gas replacement works.

The closure will be in place until June 3, with one.network showing delays are "likely".

An alternative route will be available via Southend Road, Bruce Grove and vice versa.

Stock Road will also be shut on May 10 from its junction with Radford Way.

The Billericay road will be closed for three nights, from 11pm until 5am each day, for Network Rail to carry out fence replacement works.

Drivers will be diverted via Stock Road, Radford Way, Mountnessing Road, London Road, High Street and vice versa.

Ashingdon Road, in Rochford, will be closed from Meesons Mead to Holt Farm Way for eight nights from the end of May.

The works, taking place between 8pm and 5am from May 28, also include the temporary suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction for the duration of the above closure only.

This is while resurfacing works are undertaken by M.Anderson Construction Ltd.

Devereux Road is closing at its junction with Clifftown Parade for BT ducting works to take place on April 29.

One-way traffic will also be suspended for residents access only on the Southend road from its junction Alexandra Street.

The alternative route will be via Clifftown Parade, Wilson Road, Cambridge Road Capel Terrace while the closure is in place from 8am to 5pm.

BT works will also see parking, waiting, loading and unloading on part of Leigh Park Road suspended on April 30.

The temporary restriction will be from outside house number 3 to number 7 from 9.30am until 3.30pm.

Sandhurst Crescent, in Leigh, will be shut from the side of 83 Mountdale Gardens to Hurst Way on Monday while BT works are carried out.

The closure will be in force between 9.30am and 3.30pm, with a diversion route via the other side of Mountdale Gardens and Sandhurst Crescent vice versa.

Access for emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
