Southend Foodbank is appealing for volunteers to take part in the Big Help Out.
The focus this year is to refurbish something that is often-neglected due to how busy it gets - the front of their warehouse on Southchurch Road.
A spokesperson from the foodbank said: "The Big Help Out is back this year, and we'd like to offer you a chance to help us out with something that often gets neglected, as we're so busy.
"The front of our warehouse needs sprucing up, there is lots of weeding needs to be done too!
"If you're available on Friday, June 7 from 10am to 3pm then please sign up!".
