Residents are urged not to be concerned as this is normal police activity and is not linked to any specific intelligence about a threat to the area.

"Our specially trained officers can pop up anywhere anytime.

"They look out for unusual or suspicious behaviour including the signs that someone might be gathering information to help them commit a crime.

"While at the airport, our officers continue to build a network of vigilance.

"Staff and customers are our eyes and ears. If you see something that doesn’t feel right or seems out of place, please report it.

"Reporting won’t ruin lives, but it could save them.

"Tell a member of security, staff, or a police officer. Or call 101. But if it's an emergency always dial 999.

"Together we’ve got security covered."
