COLCHESTER ZOO’s exclusive evening tours is back this May and June – with only 60 tickets available for each event.

‘A Toast to Wildlife’ is an “exclusive evening event” where you will be guided by an ‘Experience Zoo Host’ for an exclusive tour and is returning for 2024 on May 17 and June 21.

During the tour, you learn more about changes happening at Colchester Zoo as well as experience presentations from Colchester Zoo Directors.

Other activities include hand feeding giraffes while finding out long their tongues are, watching Amur Tigers as they enjoy a feed, end having a close encounter with the Zoo’s lemurs – an endangered species.

There will also be a chance to learn more about Patagonian sea lions during an encounter with our Animal Care Team.

To ensure exclusivity, there are only 60 tickets available for each event and Colchester Zoo Passholders can purchase their ticket at a reduced rate.

Colchester Zoo’s maintenance team has also fixed the damage on the roof of the Orangutan building – which was caused by the storm on Monday afternoon – meaning the Rajang’s forest is ready to open this weekend.

While another positive addition, is the new ‘Dinosaur realm’ which closes on hour before the zoo’s closing time which is 4.30pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends.
