A woman's designer items and gold jewellery were stolen during a burglary in broad daylight in Shoebury.

The incident was reported to have taken place at a home in Appledore last Monday at around 11am.

Access was gained at the back of the property and gold jewellery, a woman’s Hugo Boss rose gold watch and silver Gucci watch, Michael Kors plum handbag with a gold chain and an iPad were taken.

Investigating police officers have now issued an appeal for the public's help in relation to this incident.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.

"Also, if you’ve been offered items for sale and believe they may have come from this burglary, please get in contact with us."
