ICE-CREAM makers Rossi, and milkshake creators ShakeAway, have created new limited edition treats ahead of Sunday’s showpiece final.

Rossi has manufactured Blues Berry Ripple (see what they done there!) and this week launched the vanilla and blueberry desert with the help of Southend-born comedian Terry Alderton.

Terry, 42, a hardcore Shrimper and former Blues youth player, said: “When people think of Southend, they think of four things: the pier, football club, Kursaal and Rossi’s!

Meanwhile milkshake makers ShakeAway, whose store is in the Victoria Shopping Centre, have two new creations on sale for this week only.

The first, called The Shrimper, is made from foam shrimps blended together with strawberry ‘football’ laces and topped with popping ‘champagne’ candy. The other, appropriately named The Blues, is made from bubblegum flavoured millions and milky bars topped with whipped cream to create the blue and white delight.

Graham Brignull, 48, the store’s manager, said that any fan who comes into the store this week wearing a Southend scarf or brandishing their Wembley ticket will get a 20 percent discount.

Graham said: “We hope to create another one on Monday to celebrate a win.”
