CONCORD Rangers assistant manager Glen Alzapiedi has left the club to take the vacant manager's position at Cheshunt.

Alzapiedi leaves the Beachboys after two years, having overseen one of their most successful ever periods, in which they were promoted to the Conference South and won the Essex Senior Cup and Ryman League Cup.

Concord Rangers manager Danny Cowley said he was 'disappointed' to lose Alzapiedi but wished him all the best in his new role.

The former Canvey Island manager's first match in charge will be against Thurrock on Saturday.
