NICK Tipler packed a punch as he claimed a winning double at Chalvedon ABC’s boxing show.
Tipler secured a technical knockout in his bout against Aston Grant, from Paddy Johns ABC in Bristol.
And his performance earned him the best home boxer award, voted for unanimously by England Boxing officials at the show.
The event, held at the Holiday Inn hotel on Basildon’s Festival Leisure Park, was well supported and featured 12 home boxers on the 14-bout card.
Nelson Buckland kicked things off for Chalvedon with a skills bout, before Francis Cooper won his first competitive bout on points.
Sonny Hardy scored a TKO victory and then Tipler secured his TKO succeess.
There were points wins for Lenny Howell, Luke Bellfield and Jack Frank.
But things did not all go Chalvedon’s way as Tommy Lee, Billy Bellfield, Swayley Anderson and Lewis Meason all lost on points, with Shaun Huntley going down to a TKO.
