JORDAN Chiedozie has left Concord Rangers to join League Two side Cambridge United.

The striker, 20, signs on an 18 month deal from the Beachboys and becomes the 13th player under Danny Cowley's stewardship to sign for a professional club.

Chiedozie has been in superb form this season and that has been recognised by clubs from each division of the football league.

Premier League Crystal Palace, Championship teams Wolverhampton Wanderers and Huddersfield Town, and Southend United all came in for Chiedozie but he has chosen to join Cambridge.

Chesterfield, Port Vale, Luton Town and Coventry City had also shown an interest in the man who scored the thunderbolt equaliser against Mansfield in the FA Cup a fortnight ago.

He will go straight into the squad to play AFC Wimbledon tomorrow.

Cowley said: "We wish Jordan the best of luck and I am so pleased for him. I want to see him develop and he will do that at Cambridge United."
