BLUES boss Phil Brown fears striker Jake Cassidy could be suffering with a hernia injury.
The on loan Wolverhampton Wanderers striker missed Saturday’s 2-0 win against Carlisle United with a groin problem.
And Brown is now waiting to find out more about the injury.
“Jake is struggling with both of his groins at the moment,” said the Shrimpers chief.
“He’s been protecting them and the complaints he’s making sound hernia like.
“It’s a restriction for him and that’s why he played no part at the weekend and we’re now trying to find out a bit more about the injuries.”
