Cray Wanderers 3-1 Great Wakering Rovers
From the Courage Stadium
Ryman One North
GREAT Wakering Rovers were beaten by struggling Cray Wanderers to put an end to their impressive recent run.
Dan Trenkel’s side lost 3-1 against second-from-bottom Cray, their first defeat in six games, with Chris Piper and Nick Humphrey putting the Kent side in charge at half-time.
Tom Ranger had been taken off injured in the early stages in a blow to their top-half hopes, although the visitors did halve the deficit when John Bradley struck for Rovers but they were unable to force a leveller.
And Piper scored a scored in injury-time to seal the result.
Great Wakering Rovers: Seal, Pugsley, Sparrow, Worrell, Sands, Skelton, Bradley, Ranger (Strickland), Jacobs, Nash, Radley
