SOUTHEND United are being investigated by the Football Association after a smoke bomb was let off during Saturday's 1-0 win against Luton Town at Roots Hall.
Blues were warned about their fans’ conduct after a smoke bomb was also thrown onto the pitch at Portsmouth in January.
And the club’s chief executive Steve Kavanagh has expressed his disappointment at the incident which occured in the second half against the Hatters.
“I am appalled at what went on and that some mindless people think this is acceptable,” said Kavanagh.
“On a day where we were remembering people who lost their lives in the Bradford fire, it beggars belief what went on during the game against Luton.
“This could have serious repercussions for the club and we will have to seriously consider how the singing section works in the future."
