THURROCK’S director of rugby Dean White is keen for his side to put pressure on their promotion rivals with a win against Old Priorians tomorrow.

T’s have started the London One North season with five successive wins.

And White is determined to keep the good run going at Oakfield.

“This is a massive week at the top with a number of teams in the top six playing each other,” said White.

“It’s time to really put the pressure on the teams around us and keep on winning.

“We are expecting a big home crowd and we will be doing our upmost to entertain them.”

Thurrock head into this weekend’s game sitting second in the table.

But White is expecting a difficult afternoon against Old Priorians who have triumphed in three of their five games so far this term.

“It will be a very testing game for us against Old P's,” said White.

“We had two very close games against them last season and this one could follow suit.

“They are a very well drilled team and have a number of quality players within their squad.

“They attack well and have a good set-piece but we will continue to try and improve week on week.

“We have been looking at a number of areas at training and hopefully we can take this into the game.”
