BLUES boss Phil Brown hopes to soon have Jamar Loza and Noel Hunt back in action.

The striking duo both missed Saturday's 3-0 win against Colchester United after failing late fitness tests.

But Brown is keen for them quickly to return to full fitness.

"Loza was concussed and Noel has a back problem but hopefully they won't be out for too long at all," confirmed the Shrimpers chief.

"Loza had to go through the questionnaire which involves standing in a dark room with his eyes closed on one leg.

"I've tried it and I must be concussed as well because I can never do it.

"But we're trying to get a reserve game this week and hopefully he will be fine to play in that.

"Unfortunately Hunty couldn't play any part either because his back hasn't recovered from the spasms he got the other day.

"Hopefully he won't be out for too much longer but we will have to see how it settles down."
