RUNDOWN: Great Wakering Rovers will need a reversal of fortune on two fronts if they are to come away from Bury Town with the points this weekend.

Wakering have lost their first two games, while Bury have taken six points from their first two encounters, along with five other Ryman North sides.

Manager Gary Ansell will want to change those fortunes as soon as possible, with an exciting-looking derby with Tilbury to come on Monday.

Bury won both fixtures last term, while Wakering failed to find the target in either match.

MANAGER'S VIEW: Great Wakering manager Gary Ansell: “I wasn’t sure what to expect but Norwich have shown they are a good side. Then we played Heybridge and were superb first-half and should have been crusising and we lost the second-half.

"We did well in the FA Cup in the first-half and conceded that late goal but the possession in the team is improving. I have brought in some very good players and made some changes.

“I want two more but we need them to gel. The calibre of players mean they will click. We need die-hard attitude at the back which will come in time.

“Bury is a tough place to go and if we can get anything that will be great. Tilbury two days later will be big for us and away points are bonus points.

TEAM NEWS: Wakering re-signed John Easterford earlier this week and he is expected to come into the fold. Nick Skelton is available and Lewis Sparrow is out. Kris Newby has left the club to join VCD Athletic.
